One last little amusing factoid- the keys to my other car are in the center console. Basically this thread needs a 3 stooges soundtrack

So they nuke it with a microwave?

I wouldn't be too concerned with wedging the door, doors have lots of flex and it will spring back. Even if the door yields you can just bend it back the other way. I would no expect it to be bent more than 1/4" once it is all over if at all.

Breaking glass is a mess, you will be for ever getting stick with fine shards.

Now, you could remove the rear glass if it is gasketed.

Didn't you pay attention in cat burglar school ? You cover all the glass with duct tape before you break it.... preferably from Red Green's stash.....it is the best....

Is that some sort of nuclear method of sushi preparation? Lol

DIY is the quickest and least painful financially and time wise. Take a coat hanger, bend tip 180 degrees and sharpen with a file, like a fishing hook. Tape the tip of a two foot long screwdriver with electrical tape. Use an old leather belt to protect the paint. Pry corner of door open (driver or passenger front door) and insert coat hanger. You'll have to bend the coathanger as you insert it to position the hook. I have done this on the 300 D you bought from me. Took less than a minute to get in.

A keyless entry system cost less than $20 in parts and an hour to install. It would prevent future lock out problems. I am sure your wife will love it. It's such a great convenience I have it installed on all 3 of my cars.
