That is great stuff... I buy it by the gallon... way cheaper that way...
NOTE.... 3 in ONE OIL is not the same thing... do not use that in sewing machines or other fine mechanisms ...

I ran across this reading through some threads in the forum on this site. Can anyone verify if this is the way the late 240D's were designed.

You can only lock and unlock the entire car from the driver's side. The passenger side will only unlock the passenger door. It will only lock it if the rest of the car is locked. If the car is unlocked you cannot turn the key.

If this is the case it could be why I could never lock the driver side door with the car unlocked?

Also, were these cars made not to be able to push the door lock plunger down by hand? I ran across this with some different 190's and 240's??

I have never totally understood what minimal amount I know about these vacuum operated door locking systems!!

Yes, they try to make it where you can not lock yourself ot out of the car with your key inside it...

Yup, I tested it, and that is the way mine works. That explains why I wasn't able to turn the passenger door lock with the central locking system disengaged. I, also, read the owners manual. It explains it that way, as well.
