Found this, sells parts for many makes. You must buy through one of their dealers but the catalog is online.

Not sure of current regs but both UPS and FedEx used to be very good on shipping rates... US to Canada or Canada to US.

Ups And Fedex charge excessive charges in Canada upon the arrival of any item worth more that 20.00 Canadian at our doors in my experience. In fact if an American vendor only ships that way I pass them by.

Last fender I got used was from Alabama and shipped to a drop point just inside the american border by a courier for very little. The seller had connections.

Nothing beats the original metal from a parts car. No replacement metal is half as thick. I'd use a parts car for any replacement metal. Klokkerholm as a last resort, not because they aren't quality as well, but not the same.

How much rust in the rest of the car? If I were to buy another W123 as a long term car, I'd much rather get one from a rust free state.

I may be unintentionally sewing confusion. The thread started because I need a fender for my wagon, but that is storm damage. Then I threw in the wheelarches as I was surprised they were NLA.

The wheelarches are for my '85 sedan, which is very good overall, underside is clean, doors are spotless -- but it came from New Jersey, so not a 'dry state' car. I am surprised about the rust coming along there, but hell I always say that I guess on every last damn car.

The wheelarches aren't a 5-alarm fire. I am just noticing that the metal on the inner wheelarch lip is "blooming" or folding out, which is the first warning sign the top of the arch will start to bubble through within a year or two. I already knew the fenders were problematic, so I wanted to get ahead of the game and grab wheelarches while the company still had them in the catalogue. Surprise, surprise, not there.

I found this one and and a couple of others like it. As they all list the identical items, I assume they are distributing Klokkerholm. No fenders.

My good friend Bob Cummings operates a spares yard with lots of old Mercedes and would have the panels, ships everywhere. I get most of my old Mercedes parts there and have even saved a few that were too nice for him to break up.

When I bought my 85 300D in 1990, the rear arches were already rusting. I had them repaired at a good shop. They used a new arch that they glued in place rather than welding. Still there probably. But the arches continued to rust over the years. In this climate for a daily driver, kind of normal!

When Maaco repainted car, they repaired rather than replaced rear fender arches. The repair on one side lasted for about 6 years and other is still good after 8 years. Inside of arches are painted with POR15/DOM16.

I guess what I saying, is that it may not be necessary to replace the arches. A good body shop can likely do a repair that will last quite a long time.

I still have to get at the inside bottom of my rear doors. Nothing cosmetic shows on outside and inside rust has been stopped in tracks by POR. But I have no proper seal along bottom. Repair panels are still available and dead cheap. I should really order a pair.

ECStuning had one fender in stock last fall, they wanted $6 for it and $125 to ship from OH to NY. Fenders are indeed expensive to ship! I forget what brand it was, gone now. I have some parts you can cut up if needed for specific areas (all my fenders have rot on the bottoms but dent free).
Locally fender factory might still have something listed.
We should crash Uncle John's sometime soon and see what he has...

OK, I think I found you the rear tire area wheel arches, zero rust other than some surface rust (both sides). In other words, zero rot. Chopping them out appears to be somewhat unpleasant since one has to remove the back seat and some other junk to get to them.
Can you post a picture or a graphic of what exactly you need.

Also, found you a right side (Passenger Side) rust free and apparently ding free fender. I assume sedans share the same exact fender?

You told me about the ECS fender at the time, but it was the wrong side. They now show the right side with shipping to 13669 at $284.50 US, so in Cdn getting up to $350.

I have the spare POS fender from BC and I think I still have the remains of the accident fender from the blue car, so I had considered splicing 2 or 3 into 1 -- but once I get finished paying one of the few remaining locals who still knows how to do that, to do it, in between weed-induced comas, well see you again in July and oh it was harder than I thought so give me an extra $50.... BTDT .

I looked quickly at the parts wagon fender and it's not THAT bad....

Uncle John? Seriously? You say he is all flowers, smiles and puppies now, but I will need some convincing after out last outing, when he tried to sell me a zillion-km 300se that belonged in a pick and pull.

Tks for the reminder on the Fender Factory, forgot about them. He says the fenders must have only been deleted from his supplier's catalogue recently, as they are still listed online but the link goes nowhere. He is calling the distributor to double-check.

Update: No go from FF.

Hang back on the wheelarches for now.

Please PM me the fender price.

I just recalled why bus won't work for this. Greyhound doesn't run all the way up to our mail dropoff at 13669 in Ogdensburg, NY. I tried to ship a door a couple of years back from Ohio.

The closest bus depot is a 3-hour drive from me, as I recall.
