HELP Engine air filter, plus
So i posted this on benzworld but got mostly flames. What i can find in the manual does not show the filter cover. I undid the clips but i do not want to break anything. On top of th housing appears to be a MAS or similiar. and it looks tome like that will have to be disconneted from intake tube where it passes through the side firewall??
car ran better in the afternoon, and yesterday was teh first cold mornign i have driven this car. here is OP First off, how do you get the air filter cover off? 1993 300D W124 2.5l Second, I was going on long drive so i went to valvoline for an oil change. They used 10-40 syn it was all they had. I think they tried to check the air filter too. SO I drove it three hours home, and it started acting up. Missing and dieing at lights etc, low power. It seems like it was getting better after i found a vacuum line loose near air filter, i reconnected but never shut the car off. I am mechanic myself just not as experienced with MB and their diesels is there an thing that an oil change could effect? IE on 7.3 the injectors are oil fired so it could effect it. so if you have any ideas to the running i would appreciate it, and a link to how to replace the air filter would be great.
