Do you have a gun ?
You are in Arizona.
You need to shoot this veering groaning horse and move on.
It is only proper to put it out of its misery.

Had the mounts replaced along with engine dampers (one of those tasks where you really need a lift).

Both sides for both parts. My understanding is very sensitive to oil leaking, which I had a little from an oil line and turbocharger, if memory serves me correct. If I shake the engine hard, can't get any noise.

OH, Tram, I did not know of the relationship.... I would have used a PM for that message.....

Were any of these symptoms extant when you owned the car ?

That suggests something loose in the rear end, letting the rear wheel turn a bit. Possibly worn bushings in the trailing arm.

Tom, would you be more specific.... you mean in the third member ?
Are you suggesting whatever it is could affect the veer to the right under decelleration ?

it is just a long ruler which can measure across the width of your car in front of the wheels at a certain height.... it can have nice things like little tabs which will set in place.. because you are not measuring the distance between the wheels... but the difference between straight ahead and what you want to compensate for tie rod wear, etc..
Okay.

Okay, well, I have the whole kit. I sent a question about the Febi mounts. If German, will go for those. If not, then hopefully Mercedes is still made in Germany.

No, It was actually my wife's car (I was allowed to touch it whenever the slightest little thing went wrong, though). Adriel adopted it 3 years ago and the AZ heat is brutal on rubber parts, so it's not surprising that something may have worn between then and now.

Yes, see you have changed your signature.

Thank you so very much Tram for calling it adopted: that how I feel.

Yes, when first came out, it was surprisingly rapid. That is how come so much rubber parts got replaced.

Think it is the mounts or rear rubber?

The trailing arm is on two pivots. If one is very worn or both it could rotate and cause the rear end to steer a bit. Accelerating would probably cause that wheel to toe in, letting off the gas or braking would cause toe out.

Picture an oar on a boat with a wheel on it as an exaggerated example.
