Tucson to Houston road trip today, anyone need anything moved?

A friend and I are driving from So. Cal to Houston TX today to pick up an E320 for parts to fix the '07 E320 Bluetec I recently purchased. We have an empty car hauler, and a few extra hours today. Yes it is short notice, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway. We are in Tucson now, headed east on the 10 fwy. Pm if you have something you need moved with short notice.

So, are you going to use the M104 or is it just connected to the parts you need?

The car is an '04 W211 with the gas V6. I am just getting it for the body parts, and maybe some interior parts.
A photo of the wrecked car is here: A journey into the the infamous Om642 oil cooler leak!. Post #125

Will do, thanks. Even if the car did have an aquatic past, it wouldn't matter to me. I am basically buying it for the body, radiator and fan. Interior parts will be a bonus, as well as the engine and trans if they are good (sell).

What part of Houston did you pickup the Mercedes from RG. ? I had to work but if I had known of your trip I could of helped out a fellow P.P .Youve come a long way across the states to bring home this one ,$ must of been excellent .In your area you have a rich amount of w123s coming up on cl for sale ,houston has a few but I believe its califonia that has the largest percentil by far of running ,driving w123 to date.I could only speculate its from the fact the largest dealerships for the cars where from the same local area. Happy trails

The car I got is a '04 E320. I paid $1,000 for it, so yes it was worth the time and fuel to go get it. I just fueled up at a Valero with Diesel. I got over 65 gallons for $150. It was 229.9 per gallon.

My wife and I just bought a 2003 E320 to give to a single mom who's dodge intrepid is falling apart around her. Single owner, all records, maintained, 200k ( the car, not the single mom ). She got a living wage job as a CNA in a veterans home, but it is a 50 mile round trip commute in a rural area. She will be working a varied schedule that sometimes will have her driving either to or from work at about midnight. So, a reliable, safe car is what I was looking for. The only thing it needs is the driver's side, auto dimming, mirror glass. If your parts car has that, and you are willing to let it go, let me know what you want for it.

Thanks,
Greg
