Good to hear that you were able to sell that gold 300D at a good price. Can't help but think that you will miss it a bit. Which other(s) are you selling?



Just out of curiosity, do you know if the buyer has/had owned that vintage MB diesel before, and do they know about these MB message boards?


Occasionally I have someone visit our house to do either housework or house repairs who has seen my '85 300D, and will mention that either they or their father once owned a similar car, and how much they remember about it.
And by coincidence, I once visited a friend I met though a message board who lived in NH. His main house entrance offered a view of the enclosed garage where I was able to see his '83 maroon 300D that he drove "a couple of times" a year, in contrast to when he lived in Florida, it was his daily driver. When I told him that I had a long undriven '85 sitting in my garage, he strongly advised that I get it running and at least drive it a couple of times a year.
