ATF won't damage this transmission. I ran ATF in my 84 Bronco 2 for 50,000 miles + until the body finally rusted away. The early Bronco 2 uses the same Toyo Kogo transmission as the Mazda.

Many manual trans went to ATF as gear oil just causes drag / loss of fuel economy.

The other question is, why did you have the transmission oil changed?

Well, you have found the perfect business to get into. However, I don't think that customers would want to leave the car overnight for an oil change. Be sure to post the results of you new business venture.

Not planning on getting into the business of repairing/changing oil/etc. People like to complain too much, they are NEVER happy regardless of the results.......

Wow......so you'll sit here and complain and whine about how everyone is screwing you over, but you won't stick your neck out because other people will whine and complain about how you're screwing them over. Just.......wow.........

Talking

Believe it or not, every once in a while hm forgets to be his normal scared, complaining, hostile and dishonest self and you'll see there's an actual person in there somewhere......

I know he's a serious crybaby, whiner, liar who makes up his 'facts' as he goes along but try to help him to become a rational Adult.....

Imagine how miserable he is inside, you'd not like to be like that, wouldja ? .

I don't know what I was thinking when I said rent from Hertz, Avis or Enterprise. I've had my own personal bad experiences with Enterprise, you are correct, they are a problem waiting to happen.

Plus, they are known to order cars direct from the factory with safety systems disabled so they can save money. Only car rental company in the world I know of that has done that. Crazy.

See post 13, here. Our guy doesn't even trust his own car / ability to repair it.

Concerning renting a car when traveling over 500 miles from home I can only speak from personal experience. I've been in the unfortunate position of having an out of warranty mercedes have a mechanical breakdown over 500 miles from home.

It has happend to me twice and I've decided to take longer trips using a rental car. That way, if there is a mechanical failure, I have a contract with the rental car company to take care of the issue....

Depending upon the magnitude of the mechanical failure, your blood pressure may go sky high. Trying to source parts and/or knowledgeable MB mechanics for a 10 year old+ MB in the middle of jerkwater USA is no fun....been there done that.

I also learned the hard way that repair shops can easily figure out that you are out-of-state and between a rock and a hard place. Some of them may move to take advantage of you financially.....
