300SDL driver trans side case plug leaking fluid =(
Hey guys I'm a long time lurker and this is my first post. I have an issue with my 86 300SDL 722.3 trans. it's leaking from a plug behind the shift lever module (driver side). It's not from the actual shift lever seal. It looks like a Steel plug that's flush with the transmission case (rusty). Fluid is weeping out slowly and making it seem like the rear of the trans is leaking. here's a picture. Any help on how to seal it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you Ryan Last edited by factory310; 05-25-2019 at 04:14 PM. Reason: messed up =( |

Been there done that but with tranny in car. Much more difficult than yours with it on the bench.
