Car repair in the snow
I had to work on my niece's car today because she is visiting for Christmas, and it was the only time. It was snowing, but I had to do it. Even though I had a cover to work under, it was still "Frigid" (Is that a cuss word?) cold, so I had to brave the elements. I had to replace the heater valve, and we decided to do an oil change as well. After removing the cowl cover and windshield wiper assembly, the heater valve is actually quite easy to remove and replace. Tip: spray a small amount of silicone lubricant on the fittings, of the valve and supply hose will slide right on. Another tip: After replacing the coolant, pressure check the system BEFORE installing the wiper assembly and cowl!!.....Rich
