Well I would not call Trans-X snake oil, but Slick50 and most of the other crap additives , a definate yes.

My dad really likes trans x and kept telling my I should try it in my trans that maybe it will stop the leaks. I didn't like the idea of cleaning out a 240k trans but I did it anyway. Well the leaks have slowed down, maybe the trans x did that but maybe just normal use helps the seals. However now I have a nice 2-3 slip!
![]() As for engine flush's my first synthetic oil change came back fine at 3k miles. I think synthetic oil cleans much slower then people think, it is not like a parts cleaner. I bet synthetic takes 10k-20k miles to properly clean out an engine.
