Is it crazy to have more than two cars just for yourself?

I just bought two MB diesels on Ebay to add to my stables: an 87 300D and a manual 83 240D, both in exceptional condition and only 150K miles each. It'll probably take at least a week to get both cars because they're out of state and I can't wait! Initially I only wanted to buy one to have two cars, but I just couldn't decide which one to get so I got both, so now I'll have 3 cars unless I sell my current 300D which isn't in such a great cosmetic condition though it runs great. It might be hard to let it go. Who else here has more than 2 cars just for himself? I guess I'm just trying to see if I'm crazy.

We can be more specific with a diagnosis of your condition if you'd post links to the cars you won.

How could you possibly stand TWO noisey, smelly old diesels?

Count me in too...

The perfect set-up would be one of those 'pigeon hole' parking garages where you could store all those beautiful 123s...there be plenty of room for parts cars, winter beaters and 'ice cream' cars too.

I must be bat crazy then, since I have five if you count the 300TE (mom's car, really, but I've never gotten around to changing the title over to her).

I am "guilty" as well. All four are mine, and there is no one else in the household.
I would get another one (one for each day, if I could), but I have run out of driveway. As it is, when all four are here, I have to park the last one sideways on the driveway apron.

I was banned from buying the Buy and Sell!

I kept finding 'deals I couldn't pass up'.:p We started off with a goal of downsizing to one vehicle from two (since we could commute together). Neither vehicle we owned was right as an only vehicle, so I started looking for something to replace both. Next thing I knew, we were up to FOUR. That's about the time I saw a wagon I reallllly wanted, but I knew it would have to come equipped with a lawyer if I bought that one too. We eventually sold three.... then bought 2 more:p .

Now there's a wagon on ebay that I realllllly like. Oh why oh why did I even look? Two days left.... what to do, what to do...

A year and a couple of months ago I had none. Now I have 3 MB diesels and one non-diesel MB.

I've got to get rid of that other non-MB car!

I don't see how a person could have too many MB's,
too much fire wood or to many fishing lures.......

Yes please help diagnose my mental condition. Here are the links to my madness.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this madness. I guess the main reason I resisted getting more than 2 cars is that I only have a 2-car garage and I'm not used to parking outside, even on my driveway. But it can be done. I think my '82 will be the one sleeping outside. Later this year I'll be moving to a new house with a 3-car garage, but I'll have to give the 3rd spot to my fiancee for her car. But at least the driveway will be bigger.

It seems like a lot of people on this board are pure crazy.

Hmm, looks like the pics of the '87 are gone but I have them saved. Here's a couple of them.
