I have used this company with great results! both on turbo gasser and my turbo diesels. Very accurate, I replaced a broken gauge with the one below and it read the same.
A fellow member on a VW or TD (I forget) found their probes to respond very quickly and accurate compared to other brands of more $$.

I got no change in EGTs (or power) when I removed my rack limiter arm.

With my GT2056V in I max out at 850* F EGT on an extended full load uphill run (2-3 min)
