LOL... I am a long way from getting to building up the actual engine. I picked up a clean 123 and have to freshen up a head, pull the engine out of the retired car, replace the head and put that engine in the new 123.
Then I probibly should turn my focus onto the 616. The 617a donor engine has been in the way for 5 years and after chatting with Greazzer about it I decided it was time to get that engine torn down, measure the block and get rid of it.. and then finally use the 616 test block and get rid of that to make some room.
I also want to do some testing to see how much the oil pump load affects the timing advance curve. I did not think about that until recently. The increased oil pump load may require some changes to the advance device to make it work how I want it to.
I still need to verify the actual cutter diameter of the cutter I used to mod the block so I can accurately post a drawing of the squirter pad and holes. I took a beaten up tool I had and modified it to do the mod, but I forgot why I stopped using that tool lol.. the tool has been beaten up to the point the inserts moved inward so it is no longer a 1 inch dia cutter lol..
