The additional injectors work well with the KE injection.

The Finnboost controller appears to have a vacuum connection to an internal MAP sensor ?

Is it programmed via software ?

Possibly similar to the Split Second controller I use.

Well I am seriously considering a switch to a front mount intercooler, and I am thinking of using either the intercooler from the W202 c230K or the one from the SLK230K (R170) this one is slightly longer but also thinner. Both are around 550 USD new, so first step is finding one second hand from a wreck ( should be fairly easy and around 200usd) we have a whole district here in Lebanon just for wrecked MERCS , BMW, …… and they have all sorts of parts, ill post some pics of the place when I go there.
Any way attached below is the w202 I/C, thing is I need to remake all the piping I have. My other option is to cut the hood above my current I/C.
Thing is at 0.5 bar will I really see any advantage by switching to a front I/C compared to having my current setup with the hood cut????

Have you considered an AMG bumper or am I late to the game? I think someone compared the stock 124 bumper to the AMG and they could fit a proper size IC up front with the AMG. I only say because, that little thing goes on a 2.3 with a couple PSI from a small blower. Just something to consider, I guess.
Or even the dual, square intercoolers deal, mounted by the wheel wells or some such place.

Spend a couple hundred bucks for a FMIC and piping.... you'll love the results. I have some photos in my album of the pipe routing and bumper placement. Best of Luck!

Y a i know man, but considering my current IC anything is better.
I am limited for choices here, thou i have a Mitsubishi evo 9 IC but i doubt that will fit in any way boy do i wish. any ways i am running 8psi. in relatively avg temp weather year round, hottest it gets here during summer might be 100F for a week and then drop to sub 90F.
Winters are cold.

just thought ill show you the front brake disk i am using at the moment. they are really good ones from a German company called SCHNEIDER, thou i am sure the name is not spelled properly here. came across them by chance at a merc spare parts shop.

Ever since i put them i have never had brake fade, or even came close to fade. but the harder they are used on a run, and as they start to heat up, u get a judder sound and slight vibration thru the steering. But i am fine with it as long as i end up stopping

it shud help increase boost a little bit depending how limiting you current set-up is, it shud increase power tho, thru more efficient flowing turbo

Well if u recall the w124 has 3 silencers, considering that i have removed the cat sys long time ago. now in place of the main cat i have an X-link, but i still had the original 2nd muffler and the rear one.
Yesterday i remover the 2nd one replacing it with resonator that is very free flowing.
The car feels different even revving it in neutral, before i used to have a hesitation from 2000 rpm to 3500 like the car is held back. Now this is gone and engine temp has dropped as well and the exhaust note sounds sweet at full runs. The car feels faster on full throttle run, but boost has remained the same at 0.5 bar. Now I am considering replacing the rear muffler with a free lowing one, but ill lose the 2 nozzle outlets to be replaced by one 6.5 cm diameter outlet, should gain more power I think

this for ED:

man i will need to by the split second controler; now on the site they say:
"The AIC1 Additional Injector Controller provides precise fuel delivery over the boosted operating range of an internal combustion engine. It is designed for use with engines that have been converted to forced induction with the addition of turbochargers or superchargers. The AIC1 gives the user a convenient way to set the fuel mixture for proper air/fuel ratio in the boost region. Several versions are available that operate with absolute or gauge pressure sensors. Options are also available for low or impedance injectors. Up to four injectors can be controlled. "

can u advise what options i should ask for when ordering, or are do they all come as standard???

i have a wideband installed now and afrs are 11 and leaning all the way up the range till 6000 rpm where am at 12 then by 6500 am at 12.9 :S so i will need the AIC1 and ill be running more boost then like 0.65 bar
thanks for the help man

Did you ever install additional injectors ?
The Split Second Unit is a stand alone additional injector controller and can't piggyback to your stock / modified control.

Dear Ed,
I know that i need additinal injectors, so what injectors are you using? and when i order the SS Box, do i go for absolute or gauge pressure sensors. Options are also available for low or impedance injectors.

Order the AIC1-A2L which is absolute pressure and controls two low impedance injectors.

When you set up the R4 software file select "3 cylinder - 2 stroke ", instead of the logical " 6 cylinder - 4 stroke ".
