Talking Chrysler LeBaron SL 500 Hybrid

I found this car on eBay and all I can say is "Wow. I gotta get it".

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4538898271&category=6338&sspagename=WDVW

I've heard of the Mustang kits but not the LeBaron kits. It looks almost like a genuine R129 except for a few telltale details. I'm sure it would fool most people except when the open the hood and find it being powered by 125 squirrels.

If you're on a budget I guess this is what you have to do to look cool

Uploaded photos for all of eternity...

I've uploaded some of the photos of the LeBaron-stein since auction photos only last 60 days on eBay.

Uggggghhh... the horror of it all. It says "SL 500" but it is more like "BS 500".

Lightbulb It's amazing....

how the Germans crammed a huge V-12 engine into such limited space. Nice photo of your baby. 389 hp (??) and I'm sure you have the gas bills to prove it

I would hate to be the person driving the LeBaron-stein and get challenged at a red light and get smoked by a Japanese rocket

At least the seller is honest about the condition. That said the description just begs for you to run away.

Wow, he even has the "genuine" three-pointed star on the engine. Impressive.

For me, the motto is 'how much you make, not how much you save'
and the gas mileage is not much worse than the V8 ...but the feeling is ...well ...look at the signature.

well at least they built it off a Chrysler....

Too bad it doesn't have the short-lived Shelby stage II 4-cyl turbo motor, with a little boost they can easily pump out 300 HP, altho that makes a FWD car a bit, err, squirrely if you're not going in a straight line.....
