Steering Wheel Noise

Just got the replacement part in and am going to do the work this weekend. I have read where it is possible to just remove the circlips out of the steering column (below the steering wheel) and you can move the steering shaft enough that you can remove the steering coupling after the socket head bolts have been removed. Does this sound correct?

If this is correct that once the coupling bolts have been removed and the circlips are removed that no other items have to be taken apart or removed...ie; steering shaft housing at the floor board, gas pedal, turn signal items, horn wires, bolts holding the steering column housing in place?

I am prepared to do whatever is necessary but if I can (Once the above circlips, coupling bolts are removed I can do everything from underneath. I have acess to a lift so this would be much easier.

Please let me know what you think.

Paul
