Luke, or anyone else who knows wheels, please let me know what I can do to find a replacement if you can.

Tonight, the left rear center cap disappeared somewhere when I was out driving.

I have some 16x7.5 et 35 Chrome Speedline wheels on my car. They are The Mistral Model.

The center cap is 6 inches in diameter, with a 6 sided part to unscrew the caps. The center was black plastic where the star is, and screws into the center of the wheels. I would say it is 2 to 2 1/4 inches in diameter hole for the screw in part. The cap is not curved or concave, but flat. One area of it on the underside has a small lip to sit in the locking lip on the wheel.

If you or anyone knows if it is possible to find a replacement center cap for those wheels, or perhaps the manufacturer site of the wheels, please let me know.

If I don't get a cap on there soon, I will go out of my mind. It is such a pet peeve of mine to see a car without a center cap. it just drives me nuts. So you can imagine how I feel now that I have a missing one.

What if anything can I do to track this down?

I am sure my machinist could make one up, but it might cost a fortune to get made.

I need a new cap now! Its already going to make me lose sleep over it. I probably shouldn't get so worked up about it, but this is one of those things that just bugs me deep down to the bone.

If I can contact the company that makes the wheels, or perhaps a dealership for the wheels, they might know of someone who has them, or maybe they have some sitting around.

I have no idea how old the wheels are, and I have no idea where they were purchased. They were on the car when I bought it.

I hate to have to drive without the one center cap. It will drive me out of my mind to know one is missing. Not to mention how pissed off and upset I am about it.

I appreciate any help or insight someone can give me on tracking this down.

Even if it is not chrome, I don't care, I will get it chromed, and it does not have to have the MB star, I can have one of those made up for me easy.

Thank you very very much in advance,

Alon

Speedline Mistral in this picture, is the same as mine...

Ebay??

If you can't get them from this web site (Parts Shop or Tire Rack), then try Ebay.

I don't think it is something that I can find here, or on E-bay, maybe Tirerack can get them, or maybe they can point me in the right direction..

I can also talk to my local tire shops here, At least now I know what the wheels are, so it should be easier to find one now.

I'm just hoping to find one to replace this one, otherwise The wheels to me are a waste, because I just can't drive it for too long sans the wheel cap. It is something that since I know it is missing, I will think about it everytime I drive my car.

Ok lets see if I can recap my previous post and basically ask what I so uneloquently asked for before....

I'm looking to find out if anyone knows where I might be a ble to locate a speedline wheels dealer, so I can find a replacement center cap for my wheels.

My wheels are 16x7.5 ET35 Speedline Mistral In Chrome. The center cap is appoximately 6 inches in diameter, and the center screw in part that screws into the wheel is 2 and 1/4 inches in diameter.

I found the picture above on a site somewhere in the east, I am thinking it was malaysia but not sure. Now I know international shipping can be expensive, so I am hoping someone knows a tire shop in the US, or even Canada as I think the shipping etc may not be bad from there.

I am not too concerned with the cost of the wheel cap, but I suspect that it should not cost a fortune.

So if anyone has any information on the whereabouts of a speedline dealer, I would appreciate it.

Luke, do you guys at tirerack deal with speedline wheels?

If so, is it possible to get the cap I need?

Even if it was not chrome I would still buy it, I can get it chromed. I don't even think the logo matters, I could have a new logo fabricated most likely.

Thanks,

Alon

Just to update everyone

My local tire shop (the one recommended by my local mb dealer) called speedline today and tracked down a cap, I told him to order it.

It wont have the mb star in the center, and it wont be chrome, but A cap is a cap.

I told my tire guy to get the cap, have it chromed, then call me when its ready.

Boy am I glad he found it for me. I know its going to cost me more than I would have liked, and because of the cost, my spring install is now delayed.

But I will have a new cap! Whew! I can finally relax and start enjoying my driving again without having the lost cap my mind.

I'll worry about getting and MB Star in it later.

Who knows, maybe I'll just buy 3 more to match, but I just want the cap. hehe and I shall have it.

Alon
