Hardly...outside of two modest houses she doesn't have that much...PA still has state imposed estate taxes many other states have done away with...

Having owned a few GMs, and working on them, and seeing the engineering, you have to wonder why the past 10 years have been spent engineering Hummers and other mindless roadhogs, and not putting that time into creating a car that can go more than 80k miles and not fall apart.

GMs don't fall apart in 80k miles...not even the vega did. How about Benzes that had the required maintenance and repairs costing enough in 80K miles that you could have bought a GM car for.

80K... Heck that is when you get a good one. My 1990 Camaro was the biggest piece of ***** I ever owned. I got rid of it after the FORTH transmission. But hey, most people lease... so they don't care much after 36K.

GM= Junk.

But... remember. I like the stock. Hehe.

No, you don't have to wonder.

If they would make the engineers drive the same car for 5 years at a time, instead of giving them a new one every year, then I bet the quality would improve, as well as the engineers perception about what kind of car they are putting together. That, and let/make them drive what they design!

If you get a new company car every year, how can you have any idea as to what most people are having to contend with during the life of their loan??

They live in their own little world, don't they?

Ignore reality....you are just pregudice against GM and Damned the proof to the contrary of what you want to think..
I'm not prejudice against GM, i'm saying the general public is! Instead of working to change that they are just ignoring it and blaming other things. Oh the fuel prices, oh the incentives, oh the health cost, blah, blah. If they don't start working on the perception problem they are doomed. You can't just sit there and say you like us you really like us and hand out incentives. Give them a 10 year 100k warranty, keep the price competitive, then maybe the light bulb will go off.

I'm biased against really crappy cars, which is what the Vega was.
