Golddigging. Mariage in today's world.

It's no secret. Women, especially after children, can do well if they marry for reasons, let's just say, that aren't for love.

Money.

Before children it is easier for a person to protect themselves. But after children, the life of an honest man can be destroyed by that of a dishonest woman.

What can be done?

There was a study not too long ago that showed how well parents did financially after a divorse. The fathers came out much better.

But to answer your question about what can be done, don't have kids.

Prenuptial agreements...they are getting more and more popular nowadays...define clearly how "money" is dealt with if in the case of divorce with/without children...from what I see, in today's world, both parties don't have problems signing it and working out a logical arrangement before marriage, since it is very common for both men and women to have successful fulltime jobs and they want to protect their own assets...before, prenup's appeared to be an easy way for a "playboy" to brush aside his play thing for a new one without having to deal with all the entanglements of divorce...I guess it is different now...

I just want to add, if you are choosing a wife without using your head and just relying on your loins, and then NOT sign a prenup, then you DESERVE to get yourself milked dry...poor Donald Trump learned that lesson the hard way...

I've read that story. The problem with it is the demographics. Yes, in rural and poor areas you're right but in educated higher socio-economic levels, the scale is different. Often time, both parties suffer and the kids are in the middle.

Premarital agreements, (prenupts) only deal with PSA and SS (Property Settlement and Alimony, etc.)... they do not and are not allowed to have anything to do with children, at least in the state of NJ.

Anyone know anything about agreements with respect to custody? I do know that the closer you can get it to 50/50 the better the chance to keep the gold-diggers at bay.

I'm struggling with dating five years after my divorce (in which, I can assure you , I did not get a financial advantage)... the last thing I'm worried about is finding a rich guy. Find a good looking one within ten years of my own age, that's a start.

How can you not see through a gold-digging woman? No one's good at faking love and passion for anextended period of time... my guess is a guy who falls victim to a golddigger may have actually been blinded by boobage, and neglected to check out the personality behind the pretty face. Possible?

All true, men use the gold digger excuse to cover up their shortcomings with the age old cliche. They cannot live with the fact that they used money for the bribe and get confused when the women ups the ante.

Reminds me of a personal ad I saw on craigslist recently. The fellow stated he wanted a low-maintenance girl... and then said he likes big boobs and would buy implants for 'the right girl'. Oh, my. He's willing to outright buy the woman he wants, and he doesn't even recognize the contradiction inherent in his statement. In ten years, he'll likely be complaining about whatever golddigger he bought/married.

Hmmmm... not in my case. My ex-wife, looking back was, to put it simply - ugly. I mean, heavy and ugly -- and just really had no positive attributes. Why I got married to her had more to do with me and nothing to do with her.

Since then I've dated across the board. I've dated girls that were easily tens... and a few 6-7 (my limit now.)...

I've found that there is no correlation between fat and ugly and hot when it comes to gold-digging and self-esteem.

We find what we look for. Most men, especially insecure men, initially confuse the superficial with the real. They confuse infatuation and a nice orgasm with love. Men pay for that which they value. Hence, bulbous, synthetic boobies.

Most women confuse a man's superficial attraction to them with the initiation of commitment. That is just silly. Look how men on this forum advise other men to react to a woman, any woman, who admits to an attraction. "I'd hit it." Why use of the term "hit?" A hit is a sudden, short duration, high-energy impact. Men like that. Most men, given the opportunity would 'hit' any woman within a wide range of parameters. Just wear the raincoat and close his eyes and whoopee! Then go.

I have to agree, if after using those tools to bag a FNC, then the guy is a fool/sucker if he goes beyond FNC status. The woman will ALWAYS be on the prowl for the BBD - and the guy should do the same.

Is this still happening? Wow surprise, I thought we got past all this. Men take advantage with their money and women use that drive to breed in order to lure men. Gee, a shocker. We live in a materialist society where a cheeseball like D. Trump sets a standard for class and style. Some men are so inexperienced, desperate or sucked in by media hype that they think they like unnatural feeling plastic boobs, or just are satisfied with arm candy. The women are willing to disfigure their bodies to attract those men. I don't know where tats and piercings come in, but come on, know yourself and try to get away from the inept side of dealing.
Women require a security that men have traditionally been able to provide. That may be changing somewhat, but it's all about the same media created mentality that makes you want to buy unnecessary s##t I'll bet with a little natural drive thrown in.
Be yourself, if you know yourself, and see who is attracted to you. It's a tuff market that I sort of now experience through my daughters adventures. Conversation, honesty, and truly enjoying someones company leads to good sex. Don't waste it or you can become so jaded that you can't talk. No easy answers I'm afraid other than getting a dog.
True, I f***ed it up a couple of times before I grew up, or met a great teacher, but the bottom line is talk - honesty - interest - and finding someone that wants to take care of you as much as you want to take care of them.

Get a Rolex. You'll get all the gold diggers you want.

The woman I married had no idea what a Rolex was, nor an AMG....she married me for my sharp wit and rock-hard abs.
