Interesting how Palestinian targeting and murder of civilians is cause to banish them forever -- hit the road, you low-lifes -- cause to place them in a virtual sub-human category; but our targeting and bombing of civilian areas in Vietnam and Cambodia is dismissed with a tired, bored "puh - LEASE, that's ancient history, get over it, etc."

Comparing the two, the Palestinan behavior is more understandable -- they were forcibly evicted from their land whereas the bombing of NV was based on some ill-defined fear that their govt. was so potentially pernicious that they must be utterly destroyed, and quickly.

I can understand your weariness w/ the subject there, Pergo mon, AFAIK your current occupation is in the delivering deadly force category -- can't have any bothersome strictures on the execution of that sort of duty.

Who said their past behavior banishes Palestinians for etrnity? That's foolish talk for at least two reasons. First, Palestinians are nowhere close to monolithic. Any generalization of the various factions will lead to stupid conclusions. Second, only God is capable of doing anything forever and if the Bible is any guide to God, even He changes his mind when presented with a good argument.

Your right, I overstated the Palestinian part. Funny thing is, speaking of the various factions, Hamas is popular with the people because they did actual work to help people get by whereas Arafat was apparently stuffing his Swiss bank account.

However, I get the distinct feeling from many in our land that their mind was made up on the issue long ago, no small part due to the biblical connection.
