HAH! Got you all fooled! :D

Dee8go, they're forecasting all kinds of ice and sleet for us on Monday. Sold 5 pallets of ice melt today! :)

It's Friday again, I'm going to a MacCallan tasting tonight, and my daughter was accepted into Virginia Tech and found out last night. Woohoooo! I am on a real high this morning.

On top of that I believe I will be closing a number of good-sized sales today. Life eeez goooood!!!! Have a terrific day everybody!

When I read over this, I noticed that I put "Friday," and "MacCallan tasting" before "daughter getting accepted . . . " That was not in order of priority. I am really proud of her. It's not an easy school to get into, and she really worked her butt off to get in.

It's going to be near 80 degrees here the next couple of days.

I’ve got 3 aerobatic lessons lined up.
The rest of the time will be with John and the kids.

I just can’t believe this is December.

But I’m not complaining, mind you.

IF the snow and ice melt, weather permitting I am flying on Sunday other than that I am parking it inside and watching John and Martha King videos on "Stalls, Spins and Recovering" and maybe a few Western DVD's as well.

Have a good one ya'll.

Kinda overshadows anything I've got going on this weekend. :(

I'm just watching the kiddos tonight while the wife goes to one of the neighbor's houses to meet up with the other moms in the PTO to put together the gingerbread house kits for the classes. More like the kits are just about done already but they all get together to gossip, drink wine, eat appetizers, drink wine, gossip, drink wine, gossip.

It sounds like a good night to throw some blankets on the floor, get a fire going in the fireplace, nuke up a bunch of bags of popcorn, pump them full of sugar and soda and watch all of the Christmas specials we've recorded on the DVR so far.

I REALLY need to get he AC's out of the windows this weekend. It's too flippin' cold and drafty!

Tonite it's the firm's Christmas (yes, Christmas!) party. ;)
The party is at a hotel named after Flanders Field in Belgium. A poignant coincidence on Dec. 7

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row...
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved,
and now we lie in Flanders fields..."

Then, tomorrow, it's the gf's office party!
glub. glub.

The rockfish are slamming with swirling flocks of gannets causing a 'beehive' effect on the water. Got an early limit and will probably get an early start tomorrow because the beer drinking started at breakfast:eek:

The MacCallan tasting was a blast! If you like scotch whisky, you really should check one of these tasting events. It was terrific to be able to compare the flavors of the various bottlings side-by-side. It was also quite interesting to hear the story that goes along with each. One day I'm going to Scotland and visit their distillery. What a treat!

Congrats man!

So tell us about the Scotch! What was your favorite and what was not. And why?

Dee8go 12-09-2007 11:04 AM

I loved the 12 yr old Sherry cask. The 15 and 17 yr old Oak Casks were also very flavorful. Unfortunately, they stopped there. I would have LOVED to have tasted ath 25 and 30 yr olds! Maybe one day I'll visit their distillery and they'l be kind enough to share a little taste of those with me. That'll be the only way THAT sweet nectar will ever cross these lips! That stuff is priced exactly the way you'd expect for whisky that good.

Thanks! It's amazing how proud one can feel about his kids' accomplishments. Mine are really terrific (if I DO say so myself), and behave themselves MUCH better than I deserve (if the law of Karma means anything):D.

This one is planning to become a vet, which is apparently harder to do than becoming a people doctor.

It's Fri-dee again! Woohoo! What are y'all (I AM a Southerner) doing this weekend?

I'm finishing a couple of Christmas gifts I've been making and going to a great party tomorrow night.

Life is good. Tis the season to be jolly . . . I hope all of you have a fabulous weekend!
