I can actually remember once saying, "I never want to retire . . . " What the hell was I thinking?! I'd be glad to retire TODAY if I could. Two days is better than nothing, though.

We had a whopping 2" of rain/snow last night, enough to delay school for 90 minutes.

It's going to be another quiet movie night with the kids, with hopes the Mrs. can get to bed early and catch up on her sleep.

I think there might be a football game this weekend, too. I'll have to double check that, I might just have to drink some beer and eat entirely unhealthy food.

That sucks, G. Are you in a rotation with the kids? We just got done passing a cold around so now I'm waiting for the next wave.

God, am I ever happy to see Friday get here! I think I'll just try to see if I can sit still long enough for my head to quit spinning. What a week!

Feeling better this week?

I'm debating whether or not to take the kids and Mrs. up to the Hartford Boat Show tonight. I may see if someone could watch at least a portion of them and head up Sunday, though.

I found out that the new indoor motocross track a few towns away built a 1/4 mi. dirt track in it and just started some auto racing on the weekends, 600, 750 and 1200 cc modifieds and a 4 and 6/8 cyl. street stock class (that my friend races in). I've had a serious local, short-track racing jones going for a couple months now. I might head up there tomorrow and check it out after my 10yoS's basketball game.

Looking at boats THIS time of year just doesn't sound very appealing to me. Hope you have fun if you go, though.

My parents are down in Nawlins on business. Conference ends this morning and they changed their hotel and flights to stay another day. It wouldn't surprise me if he were all bourbon faced and stumbling around.

Within the warm and toasty confines of our new convention center overlooking the frozen CT River? Nothing breaks up the winter doldrums like checking out the brand new boats that I'll never be able to afford!
