I'm so far behind on my "to do list".

Once I finish this fence I can use the wood from the old fence to build my raised "organic" garden beds. I'll be using "SwampYankee Seed Supply" and have already made my list from his Heirloom Collection.

In that one. Usually so. It solos from the front, unlike the Cub.
Two sets of flight controls though. The front does have a few engine controls, the prop, and of course the keys, so…

But for the most part, there’s nothing up there other than her that I care to pay attention to.

When were together, she only pilots when she has to. Note, she’s not even wearing a headset.

If you’re into yard work. Feel free to come down here and mow ours.

And bring Dee8go with you. Yesterday, I read something about him being a night time Mow-Nazi, or something like that.

I agree, thankfully, the girl that had the accident didn't get hurt. She came VERY close to hitting the oak tree. I wonder if they could've sued me if she hit the tree. I wouldn't think so ... but it seems like anything is possible when an injury is involved.
I believe the officer told us it comes down to whether or not your "improvements" to the area contributed to the injuries suffered by the "victim" or not...sort of like whether the fact that you put a few pieces of lead into the burglar in your home contributed to his demise, versus the fact that he might have bled to death from the slit artery on his wrist when he broke the glass gaining entry into your home...I guess you would call that a series of "contributing factors" - right? Which one would have been fatal if it weren't for the other one?

BTW, the shots you took obviously rule out rumble-strips and speed bumps...what is the speed limit by your place? Maybe the guard rail might be the best alternative, but those things are so ugly...

I guess if you want stuff to look nice, you might be in that type of location where damage from errant vehicles "comes with the territory" - but, if the fence gets tore up by a drunk or something illegal is involved, you should be able to go to civil court and collect damages, above what you'd get from an insurance company, right?

The speed limit is 45mph but cars go by at >60mph regularly. There is a large shopping mall less than 2 miles down the road and on holiday weekends the traffic backs up all the way past my house.

There used to be a shoulder on the road that was wide enough to park cars. They changed the traffic patterns about 3 years ago and eliminated the shoulder to provide a center turning lane. This change is what made the traffic travel at 60 instead of the 35 to 45 it used to be.

There's been talk of a bypass road for years, but the only thing being built are new developments.

Chad, maybe you could talk the city into installing one of those gizmos that indicates how fast your going? Or maybe buy an old police car complete with light and park it by your house with the flashers going...

The police car might work.

There have been speed "gizmos" placed on my road several times. The traffic slows down only on the days they have it placed ... and only within a few hundred yards of wherever it is.

I don't know what I'm doing tonight, it'll just be me and the boys. The wife and daughter have a Girl Scout dinner tonight. Maybe I'll throw a Wiggles DVD on in the playroom for the two rugrats and my oldest has some PlayStation time banked so I might be able to catch up on my DVR'd episodes of Deadliest Catch and Ax Men and maybe another Dexter if I have time. It's supposed to be rainy so I'm just looking forward to some relaxation.

A big piece of cardboard cutand painted to look like a police car sticking out of the bushes like it is hiding has worked wonders. then if you work with the police, they may on occasion come and patrol from that spot and soon no one will know if it is real, or fake...

For added "realism" - add reflectors to both sides of the cardboard that mimick the sidemarkers on your local LEO's vehicles.

At nighttime, you'll see EVERYONE hit the brakes to slow down well before they get up to the reflectors! They'll never know if it's fake or real.

Or some scantily clad, shapely women dancing at the end of the driveway...

Maybe inquire at the local exotic dancing school if there are some students looking for an internship...

Actually, there is an adult book store up the street on the way to the mall. I have found porn fliers blowing around in my yard multiple times. I have no desire to increase "perv" traffic.

I have also found baggies with drugs and paraphernalia in my front yard 3 times. I guess my yard is a good ditch spot for addicts trying to escape the law. BTW, I picked up the baggies with sticks and deposited them in the trash bin ASAP.

I believe the new solid board fence will decrease the amount trash that ends up in my yard due to vehicle drafts pulling it up the road from the "masterbation supply store".
