It's amazing what that little light at the end of the tunnel can do for your spirits when it gets closer! Enjoy your respite

I'm looking forward to doing absolutely nothing tonight. Pop in a movie for the kids and just sit on the couch with the Mrs., maybe a beer or 4 and catch up on all the shows we've got on the DVR for weeks. If time permits maybe we'll catch another episode of Dexter.

Yeah buddy, brought my wagon to the trusted indie.

Replaced and routed the SLS line that my motor ate through last week after finishing the swap.

Clean bill -o- health, and a good runner.

Time to G-Tech the car, and see what she can do.

Also- this weekend, there is a few things slated to be finished.... Gen 2 Lower Cladding, 500E brakes, and Sportline Springs...

Jim B. if you read this, I may have to test out the new parts by driving up to your place!

Yep...same here...

Thursday, I was suppose to meet a 48' truck at the Colfax site to pick up a 362# crate. Wednesday night is when the plan started turning south...

About 1900, the lights on the S-10 start dimming out...really fast...sun's already set and I'm thinking "Two sticks, rubbed together, really fast, should give me enough light to..." But, I did have enough volts to make it to the dealership (open 'til midnight).

About 45 minutes later, they're handing me the keys to a yellow '06 Jeep and bidding me "happy trails" 'til later...the alternator bit the "big wienie" and they won't have it finished 'til later in the afternoon...

On to Thursday...

Plan 'B' was to use my trailer and S-10 to get the crate to the carrier's truck in case he couldn't make the drive down the easement...(Too much ice...don't need tow-trucks involved in pick-ups). Well, the Jeep didn't have any towing geart attached to the frame, so Plan 'B' wasn't available.

However, Friday came, the sun shown and all was fine with the world as far as the second attempt at Plan 'B' - got to the site, hooked up the trailer, tweaked my freaking @$#*&%!! right shoulder (see two weeks ago!!!) again, got the d*** box on the trailer, got it down the road to the trucker, he hefted it over to his lift-gate, shoved it into and strapped it down in his trailer and everyone was on their merry way...

If you haven't guessed, I'm typing one-armed...the other NEEDS TO BE HOLDING AN ALCOHOL-INFUSED CONTAINER!!!!

I'll be OK...just have to get out and pick up the STBEW her favorite drive-thru meal...a #3, hold the K/M and a coke...

My days are a bliss...

I've got the weekend off as well. I did my homework and am now hanging with a friend until she goes to work.

Then later I'll go see sara at work maybe..or maybe no...

I wanted to put my carpets in my car but it decided to rain.

OK, I missed the boat on Friday. I took a snow day from work (the kids were off last week for some reason) and got the kids out of the house and into some fun snow finally. The previous couple storms had rain/freezing rain mixed in. Then we headed up to the Flower and Garden Show in Hartford. It was great, with all of the snow the crowds were real light. We got to take our time and let the kids run amok. It's usually shoulder to shoulder and not a whole lotta fun with 4 kids in tow, 75% of which couldn't care less at any given time. While there are the usual booths selling stuff, they have a dozen or so landscape firms who do big yard/garden/paver spreads. Man do I have spring fever now! If only I had the creativity, time, energy, ambition and money to do something about it.

Our company doesn't have a booth there because it's mainly homeowner targeted (and we target the stores that sell to the homeowners) but my kids got a kick out of seeing 2 of our racks in some customers' booths and a prominent part in one of the landscape displays.

My boss is going to be out for the next 6-8 weeks for knee replacement so I had to take advantage of my last day off for awhile. It might even cut into my 'net time!

I'm heading South to visit my mother and sister this afternoon. I haven't seen them for a while, so this should be a nice weekend. It'll be nice to get out of town for a couple of days.

Hope everybody else has a nice weekend.
