What happened to Zeus' post? Did you moderate it yourself?

Yeah, I reposted it though.

Tricky being a moderator and wanting to get into discussions as well. Don't want to be too 'pushy' (or be perceived as being so).

For all of you in favor, tell us how your opinion wouldn't change should your daughter or wife enter the trade.

Or...is it just OK for somebody else's daughter?

It's usually not an overnight thing. One thing leads to another and they'll find themselves shagging fat old men for $100 one night.
Well, if you put it that way, there are a lot of them that are druggies and friends of druggies that don't trade money for sex but do have some sort of a job that are slaves then. What about the rest of us who find ourselves chained to a desk for 40 hrs a week for money? We get to be defined as slaves too? There is no difference between what we do and what the girls do. We both provide a service for money. Only difference is what the commodity is. In the case of my landscaper, he is trading his strength for money. In the case of my wife, she is trading her knowledge for money. In the case of a hooker, she is trading her body for money.

Between a hooker and a welfare queen, I'd take the hooker any day. But even if those weren't the only choices, I wouldn't get bent out of shape. I would rather they didn't stand on the corner of 5th and Main because it is dangerous. However, if there is a relatively safe system set up, OK.

The difference is not just the commodity, but also the market, the buyers and the shareholders.

ha ha! Not free - you have to invest something to get something.

Even at the going rate, seeing a professional is cheaper and more discreet in terms of potential drama for a lot of guys.

Its funny, some women I know don't consider what their husbands do with a professional to be cheating, but any other activity outside the marriage is cheating.

Having been there as a young man, I'd say a fair number are socially stunted and that's about their best bet without having to deal with actually getting to know a woman as a human being. Young guys are so intent on an orgasm that there's little difference between their hand and some anonymous woman's vagina. A fair number of men never mature beyond that stage and the result is the commodification of women. They honestly look at spending money on a woman as an investment for sex and do exactly the calculation you describe. To me, that is an emotional dwarf who reduces life's finest expression of intimacy to a means of self-gratification.

Give those boys hand lotion and a Hustler.
