Going for a strep test as soon as the doc's office is open. :w00t:

I was feeling left out, the rest of the family all got strep and I held out as long as I could but I think it finally got me. Time to use a sick day I reckon. I've got plenty to do here and feel well enough but I probably don't need to spread it around.

Uh oh, the Queen Kitty is displeased that she doesn't have the bed all to herself :D

Happy Hump Day all. I'm busy bustin' my hump today . . .

Came >< that close to squeaking through a dang tight stretch - pay day is Friday, almost made it without having to tap into the tiny reserve that is our savings account. Sigh.

Adding insult to injury (or, probably more accurately - adding injury to insult), got final word back from the IRS that they agree that I'm mostly right about their attempt to extort $3k in back taxes (from 2008). Which I'd consider good news, if it weren't for that little "mostly right" part. There's $1.5k that I can't get them to drop just to be nice (is really owed, mistake on my part on the 2008 return).

Sigh.

Good news is the company is doing great, and I'll be getting a bonus Friday. And handing a sizable chunk of it to Uncle Sam. Will be enough left over to re-seed savings though, and for this I am thankful.

Will this strep search include a full body cavity check?

Hope you feel better soon.

Nope, just one implement in one cavity. :D

Thanks. We are officially 6/6 with the strep. Not too bad all things considered. I did get a chance to run a few errands that I hadn't had a chance to get to yet, most importantly a road hazard warrantied replacement tire which fell victim to the bumper crop of potholes that are thriving.

"Hump!"

Yah, I know...lame...what did you expect from me? Pulitzer?

Anyways...

Yeah...another close call to spring...again...

Snow's in the forecast for tomorrow and/or Friday...so the salt-trucks will be flavoring the streets with mass-quantities of sodium-soAndso for the next three days and more.

The 450SLC ain't hittin' the curb 'til we get a good spring rain to rinse this stuff away....

Argggggggg!

Only 48 more hours 'til payday...in the meantime...I'll dream.

Have a Haphaphappy Humper Today! Stay dry and appropriately warm...no sense in getting sick...

MG, thanks for making me happy to be living down here in Virginia. We had some snow two or three times this year and that was to much for me!
The days are getting noticeably longer. It's been sunny the last few days (mostly), and was even fairly warm here last weekend. I'm psyched!

SwampYankee 03-02-2011 12:06 PM

I actually saw a patch of grass this morning! Granted it was a south-facing slope, but it was grass. :D

Spring has sprung, at least in our customer's minds. It seems the snowier-than-usual winter has really gotten folks amped up to get their gardens going. Of course, it could be April or May before everything is melted off, warmed up and dried out enough to do anything.

I am looking forward to DST on the 13th!

Ordering my top hydraulic rebuild kits tomorrow.. Cant wait!

You folks out east managed to make it through the few hammerings you got from Mr. Frost. NY and north got slapped a bit during and post-XMas and then some. But, everyone is still able to count to 21 or 22 (depending on orientation!), or 20...depending on shrinkage!  I'm just wishing I was someplace less snowy right now and few miles away from salt-trucks and snowplows.

usual 3 week visit to oncologist. had chemo session #4 on Feb 14th - my birthday. Number 5 of 6 will be this Monday. He was all smiles. Loves my progress. Lesions are going away. Put all the weight back on. Was 168 lbs in October. Was 200 today (I'm 6ft 2). My hair grew back in nicely. Treated myself to a haircut. No chemo side effects - hair loss, appetite loss, etc. Feeling good. Neuropathy in my feet is reduced to "tolerable" so I'm getting around very well..

That's good news. I hope your progress continues. It's about time for you to have some good fortune befall you.
