Just hanging out in Orlando at the Peabody Hotel. GOt back from dinner a little while ago, some family style Italian joint (was excellent), a lot of wine, a lot of Peroni beers. I feel like Hattie PUI. I've got a 6:30 breakfast meeting so I suppose I should get some sleep, but the internet hadn't been workign the past couple of days so I figured I'd check to see what was going on.

I'm chugging a couple Zephryhill Naturatl Spring Waters, probably bottled right in TheDon's back yard hoping to make tomorrow morning a little easier!

Hopefully, there was no runoff from under The Don's car . . . .

Man-O-man, what a nice Hump Day it is, too! It's warm and balmy and feels like Spring outside. Mistress is going to be in a good mood today.

I sold a 2000lb milling machine on eBay, the buyer paid cash and had it removed in a hour. It was the last large piece of machinery at my father's house and I am glad its over. Used some of the cash already to fill my home oil tank and fill up my truck.

It's a rainy, blah day here. I've got to spend time Friday up at the New England Grows show in Boston so today will pretty much be spent gathering up literature and samples.

Nothing exciting here to report. It's not raining and I had a nice walk into work.

I've been fighting the flue for the past two days. I am feeling better today.

This weather is driving us nuts.

Yesterday was calm and in the 70s. DJ and I flew up to our favorite “secret lunch spot” on the Red River and had a great outing.

Today, it’s near freezing and too windy to do much if any recreational (small plane) flying.

DJs gone into town with some friends for the day. So, I think I’ll stay in and work on getting my telescope and related goodies securely into a Cabbage Case I’ve been meaning to modify for it. It’s time it finally got a secure home to transport in.

A few of years ago, I flew some folks out to the McDonald Observatory and got bit by the bug. Now, I’ve actually taken a couple Astronomy courses (Celestial and Planetary), and the bite seems to have gotten worse. Heading now into astronomic photography and deep space looking (though I don’t have the scope for too deep. Yet. ).

Now, my kids seem to be bitten as well.

As of now - I have a Celestron NexStar 5i with the computerized hand control. Star pointer/finder red dot. CN16 GPS module. Erect Image Diagonal eyepiece mount. Omni Plossel, Ultima and X-cel eyepieces with filters. Wedge base mount on a 5i tripod. A power tank, and a few other odds and ends, shields, etc.
I’ve pieced together a Dell L640 that I run (only) Imaginovas Starry Night Pro and Celestrons NexRemote software on that is linked via an RS-232 cable for remote scope control. (That makes it much easier for the kids to pick objects and swing the scope to them.)

You into Astronomy ??

No, not really, but I like telescopes and photography. Always thought it would be fun to try astrophotography.
