I also don't think the wagon ever had it's pre-chambers reamed. The carbon is VERY heavy and burnt to the point that it looks like shiny, crushed volcanic rock. The carbon in the pre-chambers of the CD was heavy but it was flat black and velvety ... like I'd expect to see.

Lunch break over ... back out to finish the car. I hope the new plugs get here soon.
Well that was shocking. I can't believe how much carbon reamed out.

New plugs and reaming made a HUGE difference. The fuel injector lines weren't even completely purged when it fired up into a sputtery idle. Once the air was cleared, the idle smoothed out and it's running great again. :whew:

Just finished a very protracted pro bono case involving trying to protect an abused child, the same age as one of my daughters. Probably more emotionally drained than I can ever remember. Haven't even watched any Inauguration coverage yet.

Everything here is covered in ice. All our utilities are underground, though. That's nice after having to deal with power outages all the time from trees and limbs falling where I used to live.

Looks like the weekend might be pretty nice compared to this. Woohoo!

Working from Ma's couch while Darling Wife has her at chemo session 3.0. Got an offer in on the potential Casa de Ma y Ed put together last night (Twin Brother in Homer AK, with no fax/no scanner nearby made that a challenge, but we figured it out!), and our way kewl agent got it submitted this morning.

Got a doc appointment myself out this way tomorrow AM, then need to take Ma & Ed up to Frederick to look at aforementioned potential casa. And we (Darling Wife, me, crazy dog) are here with a Miata. And of the 4 cars owned by Ma/Ed, only one is registered and none of 'em would I drive 60 miles in good weather, let alone the icy crap we have around here. Sounds like a rental car is in order since Gretel is currently in pieces (got frozed out of finishing up belt tensioner this weekend - TEN cars between us, and I gotta rent a car to haul 4 adults and a dog! ).

Trying to decide if the kitties were left with enough food and water when we exited Frederick to last through tomorrow afternoon; that way we can stay here tonight, pick up a 5 seater rental post doc appointment, see potential casa, swing by to feed, water, and fawn over kitties, shuttle Ma & Ed home, and lose the rental car. Otherwise, it's a "speed" run by myself in the ice to at least feed & water said kitties tonight.....

Darling Wife said last night she'd love to have an afternoon where just the two of us could go play for a couple hours without complications. We talked it over, and decided we could probably look forward to getting that squeezed in before June . Honestly, I sometimes think life was less chaotic when the 4 kids were kids!

3.5" of snow followed by rain. Yuck.

We've got the CT Groundkeeper Assoc. show tomorrow in Hartford so I spent the morning setting up the booth in preparation this morning. Off to clear some sidewalks now. I need to find my raincoat.
