Well, I hate to be the first HD post today and start off as a bummer but...

Lost my MIL 5 years ago today to breast cancer at 51 and it's still a tough day. Rainy and gloomy doesn't help the mood much either. She hated having her picture taken (for who knows what reason-very petite and pretty) so we have precious few pics of her. Make sure the women in your life get checked regularly and be sure to take lots of pics of them even if they don't want you to.

I'm sorry to hear that, Swamp. Cancer in one form or another seems to touch nearly all of us.

It's rainy and crappy here, too, but life is good, probably better than I deserve. Christmas is coming. I love this time of year between Thanksgiving and New Years. I hope everyone has a good Hump Day.

Sorry Swamp.

Nothing new here except for the hubbies I bought off Andrew (Biodiesel300TD) to make into clocks and my Washburn Rover that I got by trading in my credit card points.:)

I got one in black:

The grazing has started at work. Endess days of goodies abound the break room. I am trying my best not to use that hallway (NOT)

You play music, too, Chad?! Damn! It's not fair for one person to have that much talent . . . .

That's one advantage that I have at my office (at home). There's not a damned thing to eat in the house. Shoot! Now my stomach is growling . . . :(

Shot of good liquor will stay the pangs.

That's funny. That's what my dad used to say. He was pretty modest, though. He was pretty damned good at everything he put his mind (and his hands) to doing. He had focus and concentration like Tiger Woods. He decided to build some cabinets and bookcases in the den of a house we lived in once. He started on it after work one night. In the morning he was finished when the rest of us got up. He took a shower and went right on to work.

They were great cabinets, too!

As luck would have it, there is a bottle of 15 yr old MacCallans about five feet from where I'm sitting.

It's too early for that, though . . . . I can see my humidor sitting over yonder, too.

Damn it, stop tempting me!

If we were neighbors, I can see where we might be a bad influence in each other, Carleton . . . :D

I second that too! A good friend of mine's mother passed away recently and before passing she allowed me to make a video of her taking about her family as she went thru old photographs. The significance didin't become so strong until I was editing the video and bruning it to CD....the children and grandchildren will have a 3 dimensional sense (that lovely Southern drawl and sense of humor)of their grandmother for generations to come....IF the computers behave...
