I hope you're joking !!

If you're going to be in that area again, though. I'll put in an order and get them my CC# via the phone. I'll over pay - That way, you can pick you up a few too, for your time.

Let me know when you're heading back into the valley.

Have a great time at LPCs !!

Thanks -

Shelby

I will try and take care of it today. It's right on my way to St Helena today.

I should be there within an hour or two. PM sent, missed yours (my inbox was 100% full, I deleted some messages just now.)

I miss the days when you could get someone on the phone without pressing 20 buttons and you could walk into a camera store and send a camera out for repair. All those good stores are closing and it makes me sad. Nikon's call center is in Santa Domingo....have a good one ya'll.

Thats easy.... Call their 800 number, and repeatedly press 0.... If that doesnt work, press 1 repeatedly.

When you get someone on the phone, ask to be transferred to the correct department, and ask for a direct number.... (Remember, the people on the other end are real people.... They get just as frustrated with pressing 20 buttons like you do!)

Morning all...

Nothing on the X-MIL-front yet...still in a "holding pattern" for the time being...the X doesn't want to head down until "the time" comes...

Other than that...it's cool up here...not bad for the air-conditioning bill...last month was $65.00 cheaper than 1 year ago...so I'm expecting the same savings based on temperatures so far this month compared to July last year...

I'm planning on doing a "B-day" cookout at work two Mondays from now...grilled, marinated meats, steeped brats and brown-sugared baked beans, cooked on the grill...I'll have the folks at work bring their own greens and condiments...

I've done this in the past and it's usually run about $95-$125 over the years...I figure that with the cooler temps, I'm running even now and I'll just give a little back at work...

Besides...I think everyone is getting a little picnic-deficient right about now...too bad it's not on a Friday (31st) like I wanted to do (my B-day), but a few folks won't be back in town 'til after 2200 on Friday...and you can't "par-tay" when the "fun ones" aren't around...so Monday it will be...

Hang in there...it's only a few 'til the down-side of the hump and a few more 'til 0'beer-thirty! :thumbup1:

OH! I JUST NOTICED!! I'M a 1/1 (1) now!!! I MUST be doing SOMETHING RIGHT!!!

Dialing for dollars this morning, as I do every morning. The sun is shining, I'm healthy, happy, and making great progress towards emptying my basement and garage of excess possessions and relining my wallet with filthy lucre.

Woohoo!

Painted my W124 grill insert last night. Matte black finish. Subtle, but appealing cosmetic results.

I get to work, Hooray. :whip:

Three new projects landed on my desk in the last 48 hours. Suppose that's what I get for mentioning I may have a little bandwidth available to my boss :P

Darling Wife has settled into a daily routine of rousting Ma from bed, reminding her that she has a radiation treatment to go to, getting her dressed, schlepping her and Ed to the treatment, taking them back to the Cottage, and then trying to undo at least some of the filth that the two of them generated in the previous 24 hours. Gotta tell ya - the lady deserves multiple medals.

So, of course, I've gotta try and yank her chain a bit for giggles. First several times I went to China, my friends there insisted that Darling Wife was a movie star, they'd seen her in films, she had to be famous but they couldn't come up with a name. Got Darling Wife on the web cam, may have beamed her onto a conference room wall via projector with the room full of folks on occasion. All in great fun, and the sweetness of my Chinese colleagues kept it from being even remotely weird.

So - today she became even more famous. Posted this picture

over on facebook with a note indicating that our craziest Chinese friend had taken her movie stardom more seriously than we thought.....

Waiting for her to get back from the Cottage to get her reaction :D

I fallen back into the work routine nicely. We've been relatively busy but I could really stand some heat, humidity and drought to get that turf dying quicker!:greedy::smartass::devilish::evil:

My "boss" is off fishing in Canada for a week and then off for his daughter's wedding next week so I've been getting a lot of stuff done my way and keeping our sales crew and customers happy. :)
