We either stay in, and finish what the enemy said we don't have the fortitude to do. Or we get out and repeat the Nam experience. When are we finished? When the Iraqis all together cry uncle. They will beg us to leave, but they will have stopped the sectarian killing and built up their government, police and security to manage themselves without falling apart.

"...without falling apart."
...speaking of not having the fortitude.

I sure don't see that happening any time soon.

Unfortunately that, imho, is a fantasy that will never happen.

I am old enough to remember the arguments from the nam days...."if we pull out now all our loved ones will have died for nothing", so 20,000 dead us troops later we still pulled out....losers.

We declared victory though!

It was true then and if the Surrender Party has it's way (again) it will be true, again.

Oh, yeah, if we had only stayed until we lost 100,000 american lives we would have won.

He said he would do his duty. He knows more about what he would do than you ever will, so technically you are making statements on a topic that you know nothing about.

Come up with some more cliches (that apply, are relevant) while you wait.
