So are you, right?

You should come on over, bring the SL ... You'll love it ... hot air @ 120F whirling around your face and shoulders ....

Rolling into Vegas ...

That's the part of the trip that I was wondering about...How did your friends 300D perform up that grade?

The A/C works as well or better than anything else out there. My 300td's A/C works fine, but its not as good as the C class. Just newer/better A/C overall.

It handled it about the same. we where pretty close the entire way up. i will have to say that both cars handled the heat extremely well. Other than the pass, the rest was enjoyable. The giant thermometer in baker was at 123 on our return trip. thought that was a funny coincidence.

Well I took your advice and drove the C class. Great trip overall. The drive to Vegas only took 4 hours. I averaged 70ish mph and 31 mpg. Not bad. The return trip was longer, 5 hours due to traffic. Same gas mileage though.

I think the wagon could have been just as comfortable and would have been interested to see what kind of fuel economy it would get on a long Hwy trip. I know the trip would have taken longer than 4 hours as averaging 70 plus miles per hour in that car for that long of a period would be challenging.

Oh well, maybe next time.

Since the W123 Mercedes has decided that other countries outside Germany may get warmer in the summer...so they build AC accordingly.

Take the C. NFW would I take the Civic, talk about torture!
