Should be like a drivers license:

You should pass a short written test showing basic knowledge of gun laws

You should pass a basic proficiency test, or take a class teaching same.

I think that it doesn't matter who the person is.... people get sent to joil and have criminal records for not being able to pay for traffic infractions..... Are they criminals??
Favs.... P90, MP5, MP7, AUG, G36, Dragonov, AK47 UZI, Barret 82A1.... Anything precision, or the burps our bullets at a really fast rate...
Remember how they say that when the ordinary citizens give up their guns, only criminals will have guns.... Could the government now be a criminal organization..... Just food for thought.....

Besides, I didn't invent the definitions, your congressional representatives did.
I feel more strongly about the large magazines. Of course if the deer are swarming you, having the pistol grip and the 30 round magazine could save your life.

Mistress, well ,well, what a thread!
Alluding to your Paris Gun, I'd suspect that your fav is 'the bigger the better'

Kinda like why the gals liked Humphry Bogart...

As far as firearms go,
the existing laws are sufficient.

Dang, here in these neck of the woods, if the lawyerz would only prosecute murderers, father rapers and all around bad guys, then gun laws may be perceived as more effective !
Case in point, the Oakland police killer and so many more such cases...

Hey, I like my Colt series 70 Mk4 9mm pistol. The Taurus 9mm (Beretta copy) is a nice shoot.
The Python revolver is a liking also.

Shootin flies with the .22cal ruger is way fun, huh??

Back in the bad ol days of 1960, the street thugs saturday night special that riled the anti-gun crowd was the .22caliber pistol.

Yup. Boy that made them foam at the mouth and call for banning all guns !
look it up in your funkenwagnels !

BTW Mistress your avatar is still my fav ! Nice guns !

comfort, and they look cool.

let me just say that the few ruin it for the many.

i also think that everyone should have a gun and let natural selection run its course. well not literally, but if everyone had a gun then no one would have an advantage over another. at least it would even the field. but the moment you step over the line, your gun is gone.

two years ago i heard this story of a guy who went on a shooting spree in a law college. except it didn't last that long because one guy had a gun and ended it after only two casualties only one of whom died.
