I just use cheapie ones from target. As long as I've just taken a shower and my beard is wet, it doesn't seem to matter how much I spend on the damn things.

buy / find a strop.

you can hone your blade on it numerous times.

I've been doing it with a single Mach3 (since you can't get blades for anything else) for well over 10 uses.

Gillette fusion, the vibrating one with Gillette shaving FOAM (not cream) has worked excellent for me. I also use Gellet body wash/shampoo in the shower, and I shave in the shower whenever possible.

Whatever is cheaper, I rather be a little uncomfortable than spend extra money.

I recently bought a Merkur Futur Safety Razor and a Merkur Vision 2000. Those 2 models are adjustable, meaning you can change the angle of the blade. It’s an investment, but it will last you a lifetime.

Double edge razor blades are available on ebay from $15 per 100 (less than that) and around $40 for 100 Wilkinson blades.

I’ve been using “7am” blades, which I use only once, that’s .15 Cent per shave. The Wilkinson can be used multiple times, but only when shaving at least every other day, while the beard is still short.

I think there are adjustable safety razors out there for around $20 Parker Safety razor. They probably do the same job.

Clarity: ten uses after the blue strip told me to throw it out.
