I just use cheapie ones from target. As long as I've just taken a shower and my beard is wet, it doesn't seem to matter how much I spend on the damn things.

buy / find a strop.
you can hone your blade on it numerous times. I've been doing it with a single Mach3 (since you can't get blades for anything else) for well over 10 uses. |

Gillette fusion, the vibrating one with Gillette shaving FOAM (not cream) has worked excellent for me. I also use Gellet body wash/shampoo in the shower, and I shave in the shower whenever possible.

Whatever is cheaper, I rather be a little uncomfortable than spend extra money.

I recently bought a Merkur Futur Safety Razor and a Merkur Vision 2000. Those 2 models are adjustable, meaning you can change the angle of the blade. It’s an investment, but it will last you a lifetime.
Double edge razor blades are available on ebay from $15 per 100 (less than that) and around $40 for 100 Wilkinson blades. I’ve been using “7am” blades, which I use only once, that’s .15 Cent per shave. The Wilkinson can be used multiple times, but only when shaving at least every other day, while the beard is still short. I think there are adjustable safety razors out there for around $20 Parker Safety razor. They probably do the same job.
