Nope.

Yes, but I haven't had time to do any research on them. (Without new decent employment though my car will have to endure another winter) Thankfully I've noticed that a lot of towns in the area have switched to that green 'salt' that doesn't corrode metal.

My idea of a perfect winter is enjoying it until after new years...than heading down to FL until the end of march like half my family does.

Winter is great in FL, you can go fishing, swiming, and boating.

I could live with that too. My grandparents do that, they take off right after Christmas and come back at the end of March usually.....I want to go visit them again this year!

What is this "Winter" you speak of?

Salt? On the roads? Salt belongs on the rim of a margarita glass. You have strange customs east of the Mississippi and north of the Colorado.

You'll know it's winter when you start seeing cars, RV's, SUV's, etc. coming into town all covered with mud and road salt. They'll all have license plates from Northern states and Canada. About this time your A/C will switch off.

Many lawns will turn brown and Christmas lights will appear everywhere, especially in winterhaven.

I hate heat and humidity. I'm far more likely to retire to the woods of Aroostook County, ME (or maybe the Upper Peninsula of MI after what I've seen lately) than head south. It'd be nice to have a FL place for 2 weeks of winter respite though. That's about as much tropical as I can take.

Ahhhh! You speak of the three weeks here called, "The lessening of the heat"! You know, the brief period where asphalt is actually a solid as opposed to a semi-liquid mass.
