Cool Any MB owners PLAY a musical instrument? (armpits don't count)

Now that we know what music everyone likes to listen to in their MBs, does anyone out there play a musical instrument of some sort?

I have read often that there is a correlation between technical inclination and musical aptitude...mostly due to the mathematical relationships inherent in both areas.

I know some of you MB wrenchers out there have another "axe"...even if it's gathering dust in a closet somewhere...

The wheels in my head are turning. We could now form a Band. We need a manager, erm, or should it be a moderator?

Pianos in us - drums for Swanee.

Musical instruments

In my younger days I played clarinet, alto sax and tenor sax. Played in school band and orchestra while in high school. Played in a polka band for a number of years and while in college(Penn State University) played in a dance band that only played Glen Miller type music. I still love the big band sound. The only instrument I still have is my clarinet.

I play the piano. I started playing when I was 6, up until I was 13, but I hated the private piano lessons each week once I got to 11 or so. My mom finally told me that it would be OK if I quit... but said that, just like she had, would regret it later on in life. Well she talked me into lessons again when I was 14 or 15, which only lasted about 6 months!
I am pretty good, can't play it all, but still enjoy playing from time to time.
My parents did buy a Steinway baby grand Piano when I was 8 or so... I guess it's there more for aesthetics.

(I still have one of my great aunts calling on the phone and telling me to put the phone in the piano while I play!!!)

I play the steering wheel.. hehe

Tapping tot he music I am listening to.

I tried alls orts of instruments, but no musical talent flows in my body.

I tried piano, Guitar, Drums, Saxaphone, and singing, all of which I stucnk at royally and could not get it to work right for me.

So I used my talents elsewhere fixing computers. So far Computers and me make beautiful music because when I am done they work better than new..... Most of the time...

I love music though my technical inclination pales in comparison to musical aptitude. I imagine myself a piano player though my fingers often play me out. Though I must say that kerry is an excellent musician- he gets paid to play the piano. I'd be happy if I can pay someone to listen to me playing.

I'm a music teacher. I play piano, guitar, sax, and a bit of everything else. Back to the original "technical inclination and musical aptitude" bit, I'm also a luthier (string instrument maker/repairman).
