and prior to Tazers, some of the police departments used pepper spray. and that resulted in some deaths as well. someone needs to develop a method so that they the ability to subdue an individual safely. I understand they have developed bean bag guns that will knock someone down but not permanently injure them.
in days past, a motto was seen written on the side of Police Cars:
"To Protect and To Serve". as I'm sure most are aware, that motto has been REMOVED. it appears the motto has been changed to "Shoot First, Ask Questions Later", a doctrine that tends to harm the innocent.
Alfred Hitchcock was once asked if there was anything he was afraid of. since the guy had created some of the most frightening films in history, one might think he was not afraid of anything. but, even Hitchcock had his fears.
he said the cops scared the H out of him because they have a license to KILL.
