It's what I detest most about politics and political pundits; no one side has any claim to immunity.

umm, having spent 20 years as an Army officer, I have a bigger clue than you might imagine. I was mocking you for stating the obvious...but, who cares?

I was answering your stoopid question. If no one cares why did you ask it?

I still see generals every Tuesday and write briefs for one. Many (not all) are respected. Some are tolerated, others feared. You really see a big difference between one-star and two-stars, and an even bigger difference between two-stars and three-stars. You would wonder how some of the two-stars got that far but you can always tell they are going no further.

Four-stars are in a class by themselves.
Cases in point:

I worked for GEN Mike Hagee for nine months when he was the DJ3 of EUCOM before being the USMC Commandant. You could see he was made for greater things.

One meeting with GEN Wesley " Did you know I was a Rhodes Scholar and that meant I studied at Oxford?" Clark, and that was all I needed. Managed to stay clear of him for eight months til I left his command.

I only met politicians when I was a bartender in grad school at Georgetown, making Ted Kennedy martinis in a 20 oz slurpee size.

silliness? how is stating the obvious about a certain small group of men (usually) who get where they are due to their SKILLS are different from others, including politicians who only have to convince the great unwashed masses that they are the next great agent of change....

You didn't make a statement, you asked a question.
But obviously you're still clueless.

Thank you, if this guy is typical of american military leadership I would not to be associated with them.

Apparently, his boss did not think his behavior was appropriate either.

LMAO...you would not have liked Patton either....good thing we have men like this in the country, to fight wars for folks like you who would not/could not do it...

McCrytsal slipped up and let inappropriate comments be uttered around an outsider. He took the bullet for it and resigned, still a better man than most that we will encounter on the street.

Fortunately, these folks still work for the civilian leadership. Patton was good at his job, but it's a good thing he was never in a position to make policy decisions.

The military has a very specific function, that does not extend to making political comments in public. BTW, they are not fighting for me; I didn't sign off on this particular fiasco.
