You got a good price for it.

I can't figure out if it sold for $13K, $13.5K, or $13,750.

$13,500 - 6% (commission) - $200 (entry fee) = $12490.

My expectations were low, because few cars were selling, and the ones that did were bargains.

Then you did very, very well.

I don't know what you purchased this bad boy for, but I reckon you made a lot on this one.

It was such a beautiful example. Love the oxblood leather.

I used to buy cars for dealer so I been to many auctions. That auctioneer talks too fast, but I could follow enough to figure out it sold for $13,500.

I saw the pictures of the detailed car sitting in a showroom on your photo web site, and I thought it looked great. Like most I'm not a fan of the chrome fender trim. But it comes off.

I have been wanting to get my dealer's license too. As soon as I have time. My time is beginning to free up a bit since my Dad passed away a couple weeks ago. Now if Gramps would kick the bucket, then I would have some time. Gramps is 102! I gotta quit feeding him health food!

Anyways, that's very cool getting to sell a car at an auction like that. INV you. I wish you great success in your new Business!!!

There's more than I can handle, and they did it for an extra $20 on top of the normal detail. Its so hard to clean a hardtop and keep a firm grasp on my silver spoon.

Here's a few more photos I didn't post:

I've just got to say I really like the look of polished/chrome Bundts. Are they 15" on the SL's?

Score! Decent price, nice car.

Hey Tyler, you're on par w/ Brucemendel in your tastes...wanna be my selling agent?!

I've got the same car, a '83 outfitted w/ AMG but looking to let go for half that. A lot of work performed on rebuilding top end,a fast runner! NOS 500SL decklid spoiler included.

I bet it was. Probably thrilled that he didn't sell it for $10k to one of us.

Tyler: Did you have a reserve?

Bundts did come in 15's- and were an option on some Mercedes. So it could be 15" chromed bundts he is seeing on the 500SL absent actual proof of the size.
