Yes Whinners.

I agree being against Polystrene.
But what they had was not really 'recycleable', they were paying relatively big $ for specially made plates, cups etc that breakdown when composted.

And it was proposed by 'the Nancy' so I am automatically against it.

Just like the Senator suing for breaking his teeth on a sandwich.

Geesh guys WORK.

Hey one good note abouts Poli's.
Ex Crook County leader Tod Stroger filed for unemployment, and was DENIED !!!
Elected officials are not eligible for unemployment insurance, at least in IL.
The crooks, oops Poli's figured once elected it was a lifetime job so they wrote themselves out of it, hehehe.

I talked to Jake about the title of this thread. I had thought the meaning was somewhat different than his idea of it and he voluntarily closed the thread. (Thanks Jake).

In reading the thread through we got some pretty decent discussion even though it is political .

So I changed the title to something which might make it recognizable but not offensive or name calling.

As you were gentlemen!

Just to show I am a fiscal conservative I would come down on the side of having our congressmen and ladies bring their own cups....that way they can each follow their own consciences and there is no pork for any contractor.

That sounds completely reasonable.... therefore, it will never work.

As Craig said too reasonable, I would say too logical. (potato / patato).

But they'd probably just buy them through their office at normal government markup, 500 %.
