My "other" diesel group has their annual rally over the 4th. Its supposed to be an East Coast event, but over the last 10 years we've been in western PA, Bowling Green,KY, even Michigan!. This year we are just above Harrisburg, PA. We should have about 30 trucks show up.
Its restricted to Ford/international IDI engines; not the power strokes. It takes an internet forum to keep them running, and running well. Some guys are SERIOUS--with one guy actually selling a custom calibrated IP and super duty injectors for those looking for max power.

You all have a safe 4th.

Flying out of Singapores Changi airprt tommorrow, on China airways flight to ****et, Thailand.
Where I will bask in the sun on the beach, and recieve as many massages as I desire.
Once a man has been given a Traditional Thai massage..he can become hooked.

The first one I recieved in ChaingMai, Thailand actually hurt me. I had no idea that a woman who only weighs 102 pounds could be so strong.
If they really know what they are doing IE: walk on your back-cut off blood circulation to your lower extremitys-crack your neck-twist your rib cage- you will come away from the session feeling invigorated.

Not to mention a very soft ,gentle voice that whispers in your ear like a butter-fly..."I do it good for you"

It's the wife's birthday. She demands fireworks, so we will go to a local park and be surrounded by screaming urchins running hither and yon, and by bubbas wearing flag t shirts and their fat wimmin' and undoubtedly subjected to speeches by tea party wannabes while paying too much for bad beer and hotdogs that have been boiled beyond recognition. God bless the USA. The best part of July 4th is July 5th.

The Mrs. and I will don our American flag shirts and head to a local park for some fireworks. We can let the kids run rampant while listening to some anti-government rants while drinking some beers and scarfing down hot dogs. God Bless the USA! Oh...wait...

We're packing up the troops and headed north to Maine for a long weekend. It'll be the first time I've been up since my uncle passed away. My parents headed up last Saturday, we're headed up Friday afternoon and my brother and his family are headed up Saturday morning. My sister is flying in from New Mexico (hoping to get out before Los Alamos goes up in a nuclear flash).

My uncle built a house on the lake and he and my father own a half-dozen cottages (in various stages of disrepair) and a couple building lots, including the family cottage. My father inherited my uncle's interest when he past away so we're trying to figure out what to do with the properties. So far he's put all the properties on the market except my uncle's house. If a couple properties sell, we might tear down one of the remaining ones and put up a modular home. This weekend will be a bit of a test to see how the dynamic goes and get an idea of what the future might be.

Lots of boating, skiing, tubing followed by a good amount of drinking, eating and blowing things up. My father's patience will be well tested with all 7 grandkids in one place at that same time. It'll be great for my kids to cut the electronic umbilical cord for a few days. They're all waaaay too connected. I can't say I'm looking forward to dealing with the Mrs. complaining about anything and everything, but I figure several bottles of wine should get her through the weekend ok.

We start off the day with a morning trip to a salvage yard where we bring out the hardware. Shootin' irons that is. Spend the morning putting holes in cars destined for the crusher and trying out each other's guns. Eye and ear protection required.
Then in the afternoon cookout with evening fireworks on the property. I'm hoping for a nice easy rain the night before so the area is not to dry to be safe. If all goes well, I'll have an even bigger redneck waterslide going this year.

Ah, Independence Day gun play! What could be better than that? It's too bad you live so far away, BobK.
