I guess you can't call the front section a fork anymore.

Caught my eye as well. Whether or not it's a good design is difficult to discern at this distance. Someone thought it was anyway.

What's the advantage of that mono-tube suspension?

They can be built lighter. This one is 1400 grams in its alloy version. The carbon version takes it down to like 1200 grams.
Performance wise I don't think there's much difference between this one and a similiarly priced traditional fork.

I love those cannondales, still waiting for one to pop up cheap enough for me on craigs, also it needs to be an XL frame so it limits my opportunities. I just sold my R300 in anticipation of a mountain bike deal when/if it comes up. I would also switch the front to a 29 to make it a 69er.....

Shaving those grams probably gets expensive.

Nice bike. Just bought me a Rock Shox Recon fork for my bike to replace the crap that has been on there for the past 10 years.

At this rate we're gonna have to ask for a cycling forum here on Peach Parts.
(Nice bike by the way)

From Wiki: "The Cannondale Bicycle Corporation, is an American bicycle manufacturer, headquartered in Bethel, Connecticut with manufacturing and assembly facilities in Taichung, Taiwan. Cannondale is a subsidiary of Dorel Industries." "Dorel Industries Inc. (TSX: DII.B, NASDAQ: DIIB) is a Canadian company, based in Montreal, Quebec" Never the less it is a very nice bicycle, at least it was purchased in the USA. |

This frame and fork were made in USA. Says right there on the frame. It's a 2010.

I still love my VERY old Trek Y33. Best bike I have had and I still hit the trails with it. Although I have a one-off custom frame. Sorta went through a few frames.... Anyway, never was a Cannon fan, but not for any reason. Just stuck with my Treks and Fishers.
