She might be a good choice for Romney. I never thought that much of her as sec state but I did not notice much that she did that was bad. Oh and yes, she would take it.

She bucked the old boys club of Rummy and Dick and got slapped around from it a bit.

It is a choice that might make him look kind and gentle by comparison.

He already looks kind and gentle. What could be kinder and gentler than wanting to save our economy and rebuild an America where everyone that wants to work can have a job?

I agree in concept, but Condi Rice has probably already been vetted more than the average prospective VP candidate. I'm thinking that Romney wants to have the thinking man's Sarah Palin at his side. Her place on the R ticket might make African-Americans who are lukewarm to Obama, but reluctant to vote the first black president out of the White House less reluctant to do so.

The only thing that I could think of as being kinder and gentler is to be on the wrong end of Bain Capital when they buy and liquidate the company that employs you. I understand that Cayman Island and Swiss bank tellers also have some rather tender qualities, particularly when you show up at the window with a briefcase full of American currency that you're trying to bury.

Do you have any idea how much Bain and its subsidiaries contribute to DNC pols?
I'm wondering if Obama's neg publicity on Romney and Bain may affect future DNC contributions.

No doubt that they are funding both sides of the aisle and will continue to do so if they perceive that it is in their best interests.

I'm sure of that but will Obama screw up future contributions via his dissing Bain?

One of his bundlers is a Bain guy.

Fmr Sec of State Rice, vocally pro-choice, never been elected to public office and an easy target as a reminder of the presidency she served, would have a uphill battle, but never say never.

Condi would cater very well to the middle of the road liberals.

Alan West, being the take no chit from anybody guy that he is, would be a great VP. In fact put him at the top of the ticket.

Any officer that will put a pistol to the head of a captured enemy soldier in order to protect his troops is WAY more of a man than any of the normal kooks in Washington.
