Brilliant strategy.
I think it mostly boils down to radio play. Stations were afraid to air their music due to perceived listeners' ire. No play, no sales.
I like them too, and not due to their album sales OR what they said about President Bush. Their detractors would like to portray them as washups. Yeah, 14 Grammy washups.

Nobody made him go, just as nobody is made to buy his music. I suspect the attraction of his being able to get photographed all spraddle-legged, under-dressed with that ridiculous highschool-badass smirk on his face was too much to resist.
Consummate publicity whore. Cheapshot douchebag.

No I would. Integrity to me is standing by what you said. They did. They did not beg forgiveness. They not offer an insincere apology. I think that is integrity. Agree with them or jot.

Pretty sure I heard him say he took Meth to get out of the military. Sonic would seem at the very least he is just as bad as Obama.

BS. Controversy sells. The Chicks got a bump immediately after the event. Perfect example of a media-enhanced sympathy and notoriety.

But they lost their base and their new-found population of adorers didn't really like country music, they liked the politics. The country music people hated the politics and liked the music.

The trade-off was lost market for liberal adoration. They own their decision.

By the way, how many Dixie Chicks albums you your lefties have in your collection. I'm betting 1 album. Maybe 2.....

It's a political opinion they stayed with, come what may. No compromise. If that's integrity, then it's the same as Mao's or Hitler's.

Yes they do. And yes they did. And that is integrity.

I have 6 of their 9 albums.

Not sure about Mao but Hitler committed suicide, that is not owning ones decisions.

The Guy next to Captain Dirtypants is Thomas Lauderdale, Noted Gay Person. Musta made the macho-man's evening. (or maybe that's why he's spraddle-legged)

Operation Sparkle: Ted Nugent gets seated next to Thomas Lauderdale! (updated!) - BlueOregon

Brilliant strategy.
It wasn't the best career move, it's true. It was honest though.

That is on 9 records, and is more than Nugent has sold with 34....

Oh yeah, they can still hear too....

He has also admitted on more than one occasion to using meth.

I wouldn't believe a word he says about himself, it's all want he thinks people want to hear.
