Something similar happened after the Joplin Missouri tornado disaster only I believe it involved fire fighters from a neighboring town.

Perhaps they aren't being paid enough and feel the need to loot when an opportunity arises.

NRA: The Untold Story of Gun Confiscation After Katrina - YouTube

Of course we can all rest easy knowing that during the Katrina debacle the local gang bangin' thugs turned ALL of their guns over to the cops........

During a 'state of emergency', Joe 'law abiding citizen' is deprived of his ability to defend himself.

Gang bangin' thugs are now AUTOMATICALLY empowered to rob, kill and maim because they now KNOW people have been disarmed by the cops.

Who won?

Oddly enough... I can understand this.

I went through a hurricane in the late 60's down that way. Afterwards it was like Mad Max. A Doctor, at least he said he was a Doctor, was doing medical work right there on the street. You needed cash up front; no checks.

One guy was selling water for $5 a glass. Or at least he was until someone blew his head off and started giving the water away. It was like the last days of Saigon when people were being killed for their motor bike so the shooter could flee the city.

Understanding how to manually operate an electric gasoline pump was a skill I never thought I would use, but then one never knows what the future holds.

Good point. Post Murder Syndrome can be edgy.

Charges were second degree murder. After considering both the law and the facts in evidence, the Jury found him not guilty. They had far more information about the case than either you or I. I'm comfortable with their decision, how about you?

You don't actually read the links people post or any of the back story, do ya?

Poor Zimmerman, all the hardship he's going through. Can't they give the fellow a break...

he should consider moving to Peru or some other third world country because as his lawyer said nobody here will offer him employment. No work, no money, no life. He won his court battle but in the end, he has lost a lot. I've seen several stories like this; no matter which way they turn the people involved get screwed.

There's no doubt that George will draw headlines again.

Yeah. Killing a wannabe thug that attacked him (according to a group of women and a judge) and marrying a grub. His fault.

We are all responsible for the choices we make. Either that or you admit to being a helpless victim with no power to affect your destiny.

He instigated it. No other way to slice it.
His life wouldn't be in the shape it is if he had used some sense.

Love the way you have such derision for his wife.... where does that come from?
