Is this how "responsible" gun owners behave? I don't think so, and neither does Starbucks. | Political Action, Second Amendment | GrantCunningham.com
This was an excelletnt article.

I think this speaks volumes..."Instead of arrogant declarations of indignation ("how dare you assert your right to be left alone!"), I think it's time all of the RESPONSIBLE gun owners patronize Starbucks. Politely, with completely concealed firearms and without calling any attention to ourselves in any manner, and just enjoying the fact that Starbucks hasn't gone down the road of rejecting the shooting community completely."

Pretty much where my memory went too. Guns vs. religion, tough choice!

Anyways as a private business, I couldn't care a flying turd what they do. I don't go there anyways, and wouldn't until they improve their coffee or lower their prices. Employees also have their right NOT to work there if they don't want to.

I hate this because my wife enjoys having a Black Iced Tea from there when we go by. They will get NONE of my business as long as this policy is in place.

As a CEO, he has the right to think and say whatever he pleases. If he were smart though, he would think about it long and hard before allowing his personal beliefs effect his business.

Just as he has the right to think and say what he chooses, I have the right to not do business there any longer.

He can kiss my a$$.
I don't do business with them because of their outrageous prices, but this is disturbing to hear nonetheless.....

The guy, (CEO/Starbuck's) sounds like a fruitcake to me.

He just declared all their stores a more open gun-free zone, adding to the growing list of places a mental case can purposefully go to do gunning down of unarmed ppl.

I avoid gun-free zones whenever and wherever possible. Those are places known to attract the mass murderers.

A friend of mine is an ex Airborn Ranger. I once asked him about carrying a firearm.

He just said he never needed to since the only reason he would need one is to protect himself from someone who has already pulled a gun, and if they had pulled a gun he would just take theirs.

I have seen him do this at least once. I know not everyone has the skill to do this sort of thing, but we get into some rather rough parts of town sometime. His view is that if anyone is carrying, he is carrying.

They just don't know it.

Something tells me though, that Chick Fil A will find a way to struggle along without your money..... Just a hunch.

The interesting thing is that all this hate is aimed toward Chick Fil A because of what the CEO said & thinks. They have made it clear that they don't discriminate in hiring or who they serve. Your friend could be completely different from the stereotype put forth in the news & still have a franchise.

All the best to him.
Took a while but I figured these birds would come home to roost.

I'll go where ever I please with my concealed weapon(permitted by law, clearly I would not go into a school or courthouse). If they have a sign that says "no firearms" I will go elsewhere or if I really need to go into the business I'll leave it secured in my car.

I did indeed read his liberal writings. Not very smart for a CEO with the responsibility for making jobs for his employees. If he cared anything about them or the constitution, he would have kept his liberal trap shut.
Private property, he makes the rules.
Nothing contemptible or illegal about it.

Pretty sure he is a fairly smart fellow, who understands his customers and has decided to do what is best for his business.

Neat trick if he can take their gun if they're standing 30 feet away, shooting at him -- then again, if you're in that situation, you're fawked anyway since you'll get shot if you go for a gun.

Thanks for the link. Well written by someone how obviously uses his head for more than just a place to put his NRA hat.

I'm very sorry David - but those quotes are not admissible on this thread as they should've been forgotten by all...or Larry will need to exercise his right against self incrimination.

False. He did not in any way declare all their stores to be gun free zones.

I'm glad for you that you avoid gun free zones. More power to you.
But still you and your ilk have not provided a scrap of evidence to support that supposition.
