Either way, I want that pile of cash. I'm booking a ticket down to MX. who's coming?
I'm wondering if that was just what they found in one room. There were the other pics of cabinets filled with cash.

I know they weren't burning the money in the photo at the end but I kinda wonder why they burned anything. I would think sell that stuff off. I can only imagine the Mexican govt. could use the money.

I'm doing some home grown math on this. With my calipers I get ten bills with a thickness of 1/32 inch. A bill is about 6 x 2 3/4 inches. So one inch could hold 320 bills.

OK, scratch that, apparently they're a bit thicker:
Quote:
SIZE: US currency bills are are 2.61 inches wide and 6.14 inches long; they are .0043 inches thick and weigh 1 gram.
10 million C notes = $1b. That would be a stack 43,000 inches thick. That's 689,092.2 cubic inches / 1728 = 399 cubic feet approx. This would yield a cube about 7.36 feet per side. 22 of such bundles would yield a pile 5 feet tall and about 42 feet square. So yeah, the amount of cash in the picture is paltry, insignificant. I speet on that pile of money!

Phase 2:

The stack is 34 rows wide and 13 deep, if you count the shorter stack on the leading row. That's 88 3/4 inches wide and 79 3/4 inches deep. The main bulk of the pile is 1 3/4 high on my monitor, with bill width at 3/32". That gives me a height of about 48", yields 196 cu.ft.

If any of this is close, that would be $490 million in that pic.
