I got some very good news today

! I'm interested in studying mechanical engineering in college, and we applied to four engineering schools with MechE programs. Today we heard back from the first one -- a state school 15 minutes from us, UMass Lowell, the state school in the area known for engineering. I was accepted and given a renewable scholarship that would reduce my tuition to pennies. This is very welcome news, as I'm highly suspicious of the idea of amassing any debt and this would definitely provide a debt-free path through a decet school

. Of course, I would still wait to hear from other schools before making any decisions, but it's very nice to know that a good option is already at hand.
I'm kinda happy right now and having trouble settling down

(and also using too many smilies

).
