Yeah right, the secret left only visible to the right.

Are you suggesting that Limbaugh and Hannity are reporters? That's like saying Chris matthews or rachel Maddow are reporters. If so then that is a most liberal use of that term.

The news on Fox is usually pretty straight, slightly conservative.

The news editorialists and commentators are another story.

Good luck with that. Let the buyer beware I say. You have to sort it out on your own. Most all of us have a POV that is as close to us as white is to rice, or stink is to . . . well, never mind.

Shall we start the clock when we will see whose network Ms. Attkisson will be reporting from?

Call it bias, or whatever you want, but it's pretty clear that our current president, Mr. Obama, has been given much more passes than Mr. Bush by the media. Is there any real or serious debate over that point ? Assuming that point is accurate, would one be able to say there's a media bias?

My response was to the assertion of "liberal bias in the media".

It had nothing to do with "reporters vs. commentators".

Yeah right, Bush went to war without hardly anyone in the press questioning it.

Of course there is bias on Fox. I don't want bias EITHER DIRECTION! I want a news story without spin.

Correct! If Benghazi, the IRS Scandal, Fast & Furious, etc., had happened on Bush's watch, we would have never heard the end of it.

This doesn't mean I'm sticking up for Bush. It means I am pointing out the liberal media bias in most all of the media. Unfortunately the ones who are NOT liberal biased are conservative bias. I want NO BIAS.

You missed the news coverage from 9/11/01 until 2005 or so. The media were Bush/Cheney's cheerleaders and stenographers. I wouldn't say they have been too tough on Obama, but I have never seen anything like the unwavering support the media gave Bush/Cheney.

Fast & Furious did happen on Bush's watch and then continued after Obama took office.

Speaking of so-called scandals, I am so happy that Issa has come up empty. Just think how many scandals W had during his first 5 years in office. Issa keeps digging and he keeps coming up empty. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Say what you will about Obama, he has mostly avoided scandals.

There are 3 major components to this. First is the actual bias as shown. It is a truth that in recent history the press nearly always gets behind the president and his politics unless there is overwhelming evidence that most Americans oppose the president, or unless there is a clear political goal of the media source. Typically MSNBC is left leaning and Fox is right leaning.

The 2nd issue is about the perception of the viewers. This typically shows as much if not more bias as does any presentation.

The 3rd and biggest issue is that the media is overwhelmingly controlled by about 6 major corporations. What we see in news is largely driven by corporate editorial uh, encouragement. The real bias is driven by the desire of these groups to profit so they pander to their bases.

You missed the point that Bush didn't let the guns go untraced and into Mexico.

Probably right about Issa being empty. Just wonder what Lois Lerner is doing then if she is afraid to testify while incriminating herself. And you have to wonder why would she say she'd tell all if granted immunity.....duh

In the end, I think she'll bring it all down...
